Swan Ferraro is a transdisciplinary artist making work about intuitive rituals. Their art and research explores creative improvisation as a form of divination. This involves the performance and documentation of somatic rituals in a variety of mediums: installation, sculpture, painting, photography, and film. The rituals often include dance, alternative intimacies, and envisioning exercises involving queer & trans futures.
Ferraro’s art has been shown nationally and internationally at film festivals, performance festivals, and art museums, including the Museum of Wisconsin Art and the John Michael Kohler Arts Center. In 2026, Ferraro received their Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
